## High performance, high availability project required a new business intelligence strategy and practice

### Client

This large Canadian public sector organisation has more than 15,000 employees. They were front line, and needed to modernize their technology systems.

### Challenge

Our client was in the process of a major transformation, driven by the need to modernize how front-line services were delivered to their customers and how operations were managed internally. The priority was a Data Analytics Strategy that would result in high quality, accessible, and well managed data that could support effective business intelligence and risk management. 

For this project, the client needed a partner to augment their staff, providing specialized resources for four functional areas:

- Business Analytics Competency Centre
- Business intelligence and analytics services
- Business reporting support
- Data services.

The organisation required additional IT resources and subject matter expertise,  plus additional planning for implementation of the enterprise data analytics strategy. 

### Solution

S.i. Systems has been providing contract staffing services to support this client’s systems since 2004, and after a public competition was successfully awarded this contract as well.  

Client goals included reduced service delivery times, improved efficiency, reduced cost, and increased revenue. To address this, S.i. Systems provided on-demand contract staffing services, with 24 unique resources over two years, including:
